Working fine, took a couple minutes to pair up and all was well. One big problem though, I haven’t figured how to connect the device to the PS3 after its been turned off and on again. Only way to use after restarting is to re-pair the device. Annoying!
Had a good sleep last night, but for some reason my phone alarm has not been working recently. Because of this I woke up late, and skipped breakfast. Got on the bus (The right one this time) and fell asleep. When I woke up, I heard the name of my stop, and before looking outside, jumped off the bus. This wasn’t a good idea.
I had gotten off at the wrong stop (The names are almost the same, my stop is kaizuka chugakkou iriguchi, and I got off at kaizuka) I then somehow managed to find my way walking to school, and was only five minutes late.
I’M HUNGRY!
Well, not really. Even after following all the links to the supposed yellow dog Linux dist for the PS3 I didn’t really find much. I then assumed that the latest version would install, but it didn’t. So just gonna have to wait until version five comes out.
I did format the hard drive again though to set up a 10gb partition for Linux when its ready. This way I wont need to back up all my stuff by the time it comes out.
I pulled out the 20gb (Seagate) and stuck in one of my older SATA laptop hard drives. Booted, formatted, and working fine. I also noticed that the drive I yanked from the PS3 is amazingly quiet, even while transferring files, there was no noticeable change in sound from the drive. Also, the PS3 Is recognizing my USB card reader no problems.
It also works with my Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 but Resistance doesn’t seem to support any other controllers. Dang.
Finally, after a 16 or so hour wait I got what i was waiting for. Not gonna put up any unboxing photos cause theres already plenty on the net, but I haven’t even unboxed it yet, might update this in a few hours after I’ve had some fun!
I’m first in line outside Yamada denki in Chiba! Only 16 more hours to go. This particular store has five of each unit. The more expensive unit is priced at 59,980 yen. Ill keep posting as long as my phone battery lasts.

First people to arrive are a group of Chinese. Looks like no PS3 for the Japanese.
